Up the Creek relaunched with great success after 2 years of no festival at the river! Many old tjommies re-united, great bands like Akkedis, Valiant Swart and my new favourite the Boulevard Blues Band gooi-ed deluxe! Kreef Hotel attended this event for the 1st time and filled up to the brim! It was hot hot hot, but the bar was close and the river not too far away either. We witnessed the legendary Rudi Dennis (Akkedis) launch his wooden canoe that he built by hand!!!

Our new showers were a hit and our spot on the lawn was great.. Breakfast saved a couple of lives like always.

A definite on our 2009 calender!

Rather late than never, but I thought I should take this opportunity to thank you and Chris and the rest of your dedicated crew for the most awesome and fantastic OppiKoppi experience ever! I cannot tell you how much fun we had, how comfortable we were, how hard we partied and how many people we've told about it. (Not TOOO many - we still want to be sure of getting a place next year!). Thank you, thank you, thank you...

Please let me know if you do anything similar for any other festivals and events, as I'd love to support your venture. You guys ROCK!!

Chris, Tania, Luc, and the little one. Thank you all, for being all of who you all are :)

As always, I was made to feel soooo welcome. Even although I have never been an "official" Kreef resident, you have always welcomed me and let me have a bite of breakfast if there's any left :) or kept the bar open till 5 in the morning when I eventually jump the fence to say "hi" and have a jaggie (or 5!).

Thanks you for making me an honorary member of Kreef this year. The armband will stay on my arm, as with all my other Koppi armbands, until it rots off (but for now, it's the best looking one of the 11 on my arm).

I can't wait to see the Kreef familly again, please stay well, and keep passion I know you all so well for...

Ek en my vrou het dit vreeslik geniet by die Kreef Hotel. Ons sal vroeg boek vir volgende jaar en sommer n' klomp pelle bring sodat ons ons eie "tentkring van die spotters" kan hê!
